Are you guys familiar with Neuromarketing? Neuromarketing is a new field of marketing that studies consumers’ sensimotor, cognitive and affective response to marketing stimuli. Some say this type of marketing is intrusive. Now that maybe true in it’s own regards but truthfully this is not as far fetched as proposed.
I raise you the question, have you ever been at the traffic light and an exotic car pulls up next to you and you pan over to see who’s driving it. Do you ever assume that the person driving that car maybe wealth or is some entertainer/celebrity?
This assimilates the brands culture into your mind.The moment your mind process that particular scenario or assumption BINGO that’s Neuromarketing. Your mind has responded to the marketing stimuli as businesses continually develop strategies to build stronger consumer loyalty and boost brand recognition. The human mind is a the most effective marketing sponge around.
This the reason why word of mouth continues to run the uncharted race of the mind to the pot of gold. It’s the split second that the mind takes to process a stimuli and categorize that energy into a preconceived notion or stereotype and act on it. This take place every you see a person with a bag from Saks Fifth Avenue.
The first thought is that this person is in a situation where finances isn’t an issue or in latter terms “money ain’t thang, throw it out like rice”. We tend to skip over the fact that this individual may have had a gift card or maybe it could be their workout clothes in that bag. Webster defines it as auto suggestion an influencing of one’s own attitudes, behavior, or physical condition by mental processes other than conscious thought. You can call it Neuromarketing or Auto Suggestion but I will call it the way I see it GOOD MARKETING!
